For the first time since 1893 Andover and Exeter met in football last Saturday and the former won by the score of 28 to 0.

Contrary to expectations the Andover eleven won rather easily. The forwards, although lighter than their opponents played a sharper, harder game and made good holes, and the interference, especially on end plays was remarkable for a school team. Quimby, Burdick, Elliot and Pierson deserve especial praise for their work.

The Exeter backs made good gains through the line at times, but the end interference and the team work as a whole was not up to Andover's standard. Besides, the team was poorly handled, and weak in kicking. Higley and Whitcomb deserve the most praise.
