Tomorrow evening in Appleton Chapel the introductory service of the year will be held. For some time it has been the custom on this occasion to have the sermon preached by a member of the retiring staff of preachers. The men who are now retiring are all well known to the members of the upper classes in the University and they have won the confidence and esteem of the students. It is with real regret that the University takes leave even for a short while, of such men as Dr. Donald, Dr. McPherson and Dr. Crothers, and their absence will be keenly felt.
Tomorrow evening the sermon will be preached by Dr. Crothers in the name of the other preachers.
