But the class itself indirectly has a share in the blame. The members of 1900 have not supported and encouraged the team as they ought and made it feel that it represents somebody, has a duty to perform, and is responsible for its success or failure. If the eleven had been watched with interest in its practice and cheered with enthusiasm in its game, its present condition might be more encouraging.
Nineteen hundred has shown itself to be the least enthusiastic class that has entered college for many years and the most blameworthy in the conduct of its athletics. Let the members of the class show, by a large attendance at the first class game this afternoon, that they have a deep interest in their eleven and that they intend to do all in their power to make it successful in the future.
