The 'varsity took its last practice before the Cornell game yesterday afternoon in the shape of two hard 35-minute halves. George Gray, Sears, Emmons, Cranston, Mason, Newell and Waters were all on the field coaching, and they put an unusual amount of life into the play.
Cabot was in the line-up for the first time since his injury, and resumed his old position at left end, where he played a strong all-round game. He was soon replaced by Lewis, however. Wrightington also played for only a few minutes, and was then replaced by Cozzens, who did some good rushing. Bouve and Brown were effective in the interference, although the backs, on the whole, did not follow their interference as well as they should have done. Once, however, in the first half, Dunlop made a 25-yard run around the end with the aid of good interference. Brown kicked a goal from the field, which was the only scoring done in this half.
In the second half the second eleven made a touchdown on a fluke, which was the only scoring done in this half. The 'Varsity line-up was as follows:
Cabot (Lewis), l. e.; Sargent, l. t.; Bouve, l. g.; F. Shaw, c.; Jaffray, r.g.; Haughton (Merriman), r. t.; Moulton (Graydon), r. e.; Beale (Cochrane), q. b.; Wrightington (Cozzens), l. h. b.; Dunlop (Sullivan), r. h. b.; Brown, f. b.
