The attention of students of the University is called to Mr. Copeland's voluntary classes in reading and speaking. These classes are divided into sections, one for each of the college classes, one for advanced pupils, and one for Law School men.
Years ago the art of reading aloud was much practiced. Now it is almost absolete, simply because the opportunity of learning it is granted so rarely. The value of these classes is very great. The pupil learns how to stand and how to use his voice, two of the most necessary accomplishments of the speaker. They are also extremely useful as a preparation for English 10, 30 and 6.
