Yesterday the fall tennis tournament, which has been delayed all the week by the bad weather, was successfully started, and the preliminary and first rounds were played off. The tennis for the most part was rather poor, no very good matches being played. It is to be regretted that both Whitman and Ware have defaulted, as this tournament is to choose the champion of the University.
