The work of the football squad was considerably harder yesterday than it has been before although the playing was not so brilliant. The most important fact about the practice was that the first and second elevens played both halves while the other men did not lineup at all.
During the first half the playing was mostly in the territory of the first eleven. Once the second eleven pushed the ball down to within a yard of the first's goal line, but here the first took a firm stand and got the ball on downs. After this Lewis scored a touchdown for the first on a fluke.
In the second half the first played far better, the backs making good rushes until the ball was pushed over for a touchdown. Wrightington who went in to play for a few moments made a run of 15 yards behind good interference.
The line-up was as follows:
FIRST. SECOND.
