The revival of "The Chimes of Normandy" as the attraction at the Castle Square Theatre the coming week is sure to give satisfaction to the vast public that has come to look upon the productions at this house as a regular source of enjoyment. The opera has maintained its popularity with American audiences for nearly twenty years, its original production in this country following closely upon its introduction to Paris at the Follies Dramatique in June 1877.

The record of the opera is singularly alike on both sides of the Atlantic; Paris did not tire of it for three successive years, and the entire repertoire of opera comique productions in this country has had none more successful with the public than this has proven. Its comedy scenes and situations are amusing, its romantic story affords ample opportunities for good acting, and Planquette's tuneful numbers delight all lovers of good music. The cast will be as follows: Serpolette, Clara Lane; Germaine, Laura Millard; Henri, Marquis J Corneville, J. K. Murray; Jean Grenicheux, Edgar Temple; Gaspard the miser, Oscar Girard; The Bailli, Lindsay Morison; Notary, Dick Jones.

Following "The Chimes of Normandy" a production of "The Pirates of Penzance" will be given on Monday, Oct. 26.
