The announcement that the students of the University are to be given an opportunity to aid in the relief of the suffering Armenians, should meet with an immediate and hearty response. Miss Clara Barton's letter, published in another column, gives assurance that all contributions will be distributed surely and effectively,- through the Red Cross, if it is allowed to enter Armenia; if not, through other existing agencies.

This assurance removes the only apparent reason for withholding our subscriptions. The cause for which the contributions are to be used is a worthy one and the agencies through which they are distributed are capable. It is then the duty, as it should be the pleasure, of every student who is able, to give promptly and liberally.
