Yesterday afternoon the freshman crew candidates met in the Trophy Room of the Gymnasium and elected Clarke Thomson as their temporary leader. Thomson rowed last fall on the river with the freshman candidates and also obtained some experience while at Groton.
The number of candidates has now been reduced to nineteen men, but in a few days more it will be further reduced to sixteen. From now, strict training will be maintained and a regular system of work mapped out. The men are now practicing the full stroke with the exception of the arm break.
