The University authorities in rowing matters have done a great deal to stimulate interest in this branch of athletics by entering into the "quadrangular" arrangement with Cornell, Columbia and Pennsylvania. With four colleges competing for the championship and all representing distinct sectional interests the race is bound to attract more than usual attention. The freshman race between Harvard and Columbia will also be welcomed, especially by members of Ninety-nine. There is at present every prospect of an active season in rowing, and the united efforts of all members of the University should assure success at the end of it.
