Yesterday's practice varied but little from that of Monday and Tuesday. The preliminary practice of the two squads lasted an hour and then two ten-minute halves were played.
There were forty-nine candidates out yesterday, the new men being E. H. Fennessy '96, R. M. Townsend '96, C. C. Bull '98, and W. Raymond '99, who played fullback on the Cambridge Latin eleven.
Mr. Lathrop was on the field to look over the men. Lee who made the winning touchdown in '90 watched the practice.
Fuller, Gierasch and Wadsworth were taken to the first squad which was in charge of C. Brewer.
The first eleven made two touchdowns in the first half and one in the second. Hayes made several long runs with the aid of interference. C. Brewer dodged beautifully several times, and Gonterman made one long run around right end.
Cozzens showed up best on the second eleven. His rushing was fair and his tackling was the best that has been done this year. He played an energetic game throughout.
Fuller was tried in Hallowell's place on the first. He was the mark for the center plays of the second eleven which he stopped well.
Wadsworth at quarter on the first played a better game than Beale and Borden. His chief fault is that he is slow in getting the ball in play.
The line up was as follows:
FIRST. SECOND.
Cabot, Moulton, l.e., r.e., Newell, Scull.
Fuller, l. t., r. t., Merriman, Whitback.
Holt, l. g., r. g., Hoague, Hennen,
Shaw, c. c., Hennen, Hoague.
Jaffray, r. g., l. g., Sargent.
