The Weld Boat Club will have two crews entered in the metropolitan regatta this afternoon. The Weld eight will be made up as follows:
J. C. Smith '95, bow, rowed in the club four-oared races.
G. F. McKelleget L. S., No. 2, rowed in the same races.
H. E. Addison '96, No. 3. stroked the winning four in the club races.
A. W. Stevens '97, No. 4, was with the 'varsity for several months.
W. S. Youngman '95, No. 5, captain of the crew, rowed in this year's class race.
B. W. S. Thomson L. S., No. 6, is a champion consist, and has rowed in a four oared shell crew.
S. P. Delaney '96, No. 7, rowed at No. 3 on the winning four.
G. B. Magrath M. S., stroke, also stroked the club's four-oared shell crew.
H. M. Allen, coxwain, weight 125 lbs.
The crew's average weight is 156 lbs. The stroke runs from thirty-six to forty to the minute, but is very long, with a hard finish into the body. The crew has been coached by Mr. P. J. Donovan, the Weld trainer, and has made such good time in their trial spins that some of the B. A. A. and Union experts have picked them as winners. They will have against them strong crews from the Riverside and Shawmut Clubs. Thomson, stroke, and Youngman, bow, make up the crew for the junior double-scull event.
