In the general clearing out which always comes before vacation, students should be able to set aside a good deal of clothing for contribution to the collection by the Student Volunteer Committee. This form of charity is one which, in a large college like Harvard, can be made particularly effective. A very little trouble in the matter will be a great service to the committee, and through them to a large number of needy persons. The committee were much encouraged by the success of their first collection this year, and are unquestionably safe in their belief that students will this time respond to the call even more generously than before.
