THE summer season of comic opera at the Castle Square Theatre began last evening in the most agreeable of comic operas, "The Beggar Student." This is one of a series of light operas which will furnish entertainment during the summer. Miss Eissing, the prima donna, will be well remembered in "Girofle-Girofla," "Ali Baba," and "Sinbad." Miss Mulle-Bell, Miss Gaillard, Miss Rissi, Mr. Wolff, Mr. Seamans, Mr. McWade and Mr. Edgar Seamans, are all comic opera artists of more or less fame.
