Dr. Sargent's New Game.

Dr. Sargent's new game, which has been named holeball, has been played every evening this week. It has aroused much interest, not only among the men who have played it, but also among those who have seen it. The game has been played by about twenty-four men, although this number can be increased or diminished without any trouble.

The exercise which the game gives is almost the same as that which football gives, except that there is no falling on the ball or "piling" on a player; in addition to this, the play is more aggressive than in football.

The new game gives an excellent opportunity for team work, as in lacrosse, the only difference being that in lacrosse a small ball is used which is passed by means of the stick, while in holeball a large ball about the size of a football is used, which is passed by hand.

At an early date a field will be laid out back of the Gymnasium, goal posts will be erected, and the game will be made an outdoor sport.

Now that the game is to be a field game as well as an indoor game, class teams will undoubtedly be organized, and there is no reason why the new game should not become very popular.
