The vote of the Faculty, though nominally an expression of opinion, is undeniably intended to influence the Athletic Committee to act in accordance with the Faculty's wishes. It is probable that no final action will be taken either by the committee or by the Faculty for some time, but as the latter have complete power, in the last resort, to regulate the participation in athletics of students in the College, the Graduate School and the Scientific School, there can be little doubt that in the end their wishes will have to be acceded to.
