Dartmouth Prize Speakers.

HANOVER, N. H., March 13. - Speaking for prizes offered by Justin H. Smith '77, of Boston, and the heirs of Hon. E. H. Rollins, of Concord, for excellence in original oratory, occurred tonight in the college church. The judges were Melvin O. Adams '71, and Thomas W. Proctor '79, of Boston, and O. P. Conant '79 of New York.

In the debate open to seniors on the subject, "Is the Income Tax a desirable means of raising revenue?" W. A. Foster of the negative won the first prize of $30 and G. W. Day of the negative won the second prize of $20.

In the oratorical contest open to juniors and sophomores, the first prize of $30 was won by F. B. Eaton '96 and the second prize of $20 by F. E. Shaw '97.
