By the will of the late Judge E. R. Hoar, Harvard College receives a bequest of $10,000, the income to be applied to the education of meritorious undergraduates of the college from the town of Concord, either immediately after entering or later. If such fail to apply, then the interest is to accumulate until the principal shall reach the sum of $12,000, which shall constitute two scholarships; and whenever no Concord boy shall apply for either, the income for the year may be given by the corporation to another undergraduate.
