The two freshman crews rowed a shorter time than usual yesterday. The stroke was lively and the men showed plenty of snap. The chief fault just now is a tendency to go forward too fast.
The first crew rowed: Stroke, Rice; 7, Ames; 6, Woodward; 5, Riggs; 4, Fuller; 3, Butler; 2, Scull; bow, Goodrich.
Junior Crew.F. M. Forbes, captain of the junior crew, began training with his class crew yesterday. The order of the crew was changed so that Derby stroked; Jones rowed 7; Heckscher, 6; Addison, 5, Greenough, 4; Fairchild, 3; Frothingham, 2; Dorman, bow.
