The election of J. R. Bullard '96 to the captaincy of the 'varsity crew is the natural outcome of E. H. Fennessy's refusal to stand as a candidate, for next to Fennessy, Bullard was, through his experience, the one available man for the position of captain. He has, moreover, during his temporary captaincy, shown vigor in handling the candidates; he enjoys the confidence of the coaches and graduates, and we believe that the undergraduate body will heartily endorse his election.
