The cap and gown bids fair to be incorporated in the unwritten constitution of the College. The notice which the chairman of the Class Day Committee gives this morning makes a due allowance for any objection which might possibly be raised in view of the fact that the custom is only a few years old and has not been sanctioned by any vote of the class. We believe however, that the cap and gown will not be opposed this year. They seem to meet the desired end of giving to the seniors and other candidates for degrees an appropriate, distinctive and graceful uniform better than anything else could do and they are certainly a vast improvement over the all-day evening dress and high hat which were abandoned a few years ago.
