The project for a University Club has been long enough before the University to have enabled most students to form at least a general opinion as to its desirability. The blue-books which are put up to receive signatures today, if signed by all "who think that they would probably join such a University Club," as the notice reads, will give the graduate committee a basis for deciding whether to appeal for funds or not. If it is found that a thousand men or thereabouts, would be likely to join the club, there is every probability that the money will be forthcoming. While it is not the purpose of the committee to urge men to sign their names in the books, yet it will not be out of place for us to urge every member of the University to come to a decision, as soon as may be, on the merits of the plan and, if he favors it, to sign his name before the vacation begins.
