The football team of the University of Michigan arrived in Boston yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The team left immediately for Lee's Woodlawn Park Hotel, at Auburndale, where they will remain until tomorrow. There is a good field near the hotel where the team will practice today.
The send-off given by the Students at Ann Harbor to their team Wednesday was most enthusiastic. Fifteen hundred men assembled at the station and cheered repeatedly as the train drew out of the depot.
The feeling among the students at Ann Harbor is one of confidence. There is scarcely a man in Michigan University who does not believe his team will defeat Harvard. Following is a clipping from the U. of M. Daily, which expresses the above sentiment:
"Only new students or upper class 'freshmen' indulge in such childish practices as those of Thursday night any more. The rest of us are reserving our energy for a celebration of the coming Harvard victory."
The Michigan team is a very strong one. It has played several good teams this year and has not been scored against. The men are all in first rate condition and confident of victory.
