At the recent fall handicap games of the University of Pennsylvania, a novelty was introduced in the shape of a two-mile steeple-chase. There were seven hurdles and a ten foot water jump.
At the Georgetown University athletic games on Saturday one of the events was a team race between Georgetown and Pennsylvania. Sterett, Silliman, Jarvis and Orton ran for Pennsylvania, and J. A. Wefers, Gallagher, Delaney and B. J. Wefers for Georgetown. Pennsylvania's last man was Orton, and he was easily beaten by 100 feet by B. J. Wefers of Georgetown.
