"THE MERRY WAR" is rounding out a most successful week at the Castle Square Theatre. Two performances this afternoon and evening will be the last opportunities for hearing the bewitching music of Strauss' opera and sharing in the fun making of the company. Those who have attended this week have been loud in their praise of the excellent manner in which this opera is staged. The costumes are of remarkable beauty and the chorus is eloquent of the careful training it has received. The revival of the march by the young ladies of the company has met with favor. They are in new and handsome costumes and their evolutions are of pleasing intricacy.
The thousands of patrons of the summer's week of "The Bohemian Girl," and thousands of others, will appland the announcement that this opera is to be given a reproduction next week, with the following cast: Thaddeus, Mr. Persse; Florestine, Mr. Wooley; Count, Mr. Murray; Devilshoof, Mr. Wolff; Captain, Mr. John Read; Arline, Miss Lane; Queen, Miss Davis; Buda, Miss Florence Waitt. The presentation is sure to be attended largely and no doubt many will take advantage of the opportunity to secure good seats in advance.
