The St. Paul's Society held a very successful reception to new members of the University at the Colonial Club last evening. Bishop Lawrence, Dean Hooper, Mr. King and the other members of the Cambridge clergy were present, besides Mr. Nathan Matthew, the builder of Matthews Hall and the founder of the Matthews scholarships, Professors Ashley, Wright, de Sumichrast, Morgan, Wendell, Mr. Chamberlain and Mr. Gardner. Short addresses were made by Bishop Lawrence, Mr. Matthews, Professor de Sumichrast and H. E. Addison '96, the president of the society.
