The freshman team had light work yesterday afternoon, consisting for the most part in rehearsing plays and practicing signals in preparation for the game with '98 on Monday. The team is playing well together and the interference is compact and strong.
The first eleven lined up against the second eleven for a few minutes and quickly scored four touchdowns on round the end plays. The second eleven was weak on the defensive but at times gained ground well. Holt bucked the centre strongly and again and again pulled himself along for the necessary five yards. Fairbanks's absence was severely felt as there was no one who could begin to fill his place at centre.
