Ninety-eight defeated the Hopkinson's eleven on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon by the score of 6 to 0.
Hopkinson's although lighter than ninety-eight, played rather the better game, and once had the ball on ninety-eight's two yard line.
In the first half ninety-eight worked the ball up to Hopkinson's five yard line and Shepard made a touchdown. Manning kicked the goal.
Hopkinson's then got the ball by several long runs, on ninety-eight's two yard line where they lose it. In the second half the playing was almost entirely in the centre of the field, neither goal being at any time in danger.
Bartlett punted well for Hopkinson's and Livermore and Carlton made long runs.
