The institution of bicycle meets makes an interesting addition to the list of athletic events of the year. No one who has been in Cambridge during the last year or two can fail to observe how the general popularity of bicycling has extended to the University. The large number of wheels which can now be seen every pleasant day outside of Memorial Hall and the large lecture-rooms testify to the growing interest.
It is natural that the Cycling Association should take advantage of this opportunity by appointing a meeting at which bicycle racing at several distances is to be the only athletic event. As the first of its kind here, today's meeting will be of great interest to all members of the University.
