The Harvard Union debates tonight in Sever 11, at 7.30. Subject: "Resolved, That the plan of the late Secretary Bolles for the administration of Harvard University is preferable to the present system."

The principal disputants are H. L. Belisle '96, S. P. Delaney '96, affirmative; W. W. Orr '96 and C. N. Lathrop '96, negative. The debate is open to the public.

Engineering Society.Mr. Eckley B. Coxe, president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, will give an address before the Engineering Society on "The Choice of a Profession." This lecture will be of special value to men in the Engineering Department. Mr. Coxe is a man of large experience, both theoretical and practical, being familiar with the details of mining and civil engineering as well as of mechanical engineering. In the latter profession he stands as one of the foremost engineers of the day.

The meeting is open to all and it is hoped will be well attended. The hour of the address has been changed to 7.45 o'clock this evening, in Room 1, Lawrence Scientific School.

Shakespeare Club.The Shakespeare Club met last night in 50 Weld with about twelve members present. The reading of "Hamlet" was finished in preparation for a paper which Professor de Sumichrast expects to read at the next meeting of the club on "The First French Hamlet."

Wendell Phillips Club.The regular meeting of the Wendell Phillips Club occurs this evening at 7.30 in Harvard 1. The subject will be the one chosen for January by the Intercollegiate Debating Union: "Resolved, That charity is no sufficient remedy for poverty." H. F. Knight '96 and G. A. Kaven '95 will speak on the affirmative and A. R. Sheriff '96, and P. Warren '96 on the negative. This meeting is open to the public.
