UNTIL the end of next week the Tremont Theatre offers the entire grand production of Offenbach's "La Grande Duchesse," with the very beautiful artiste, Miss Lillian Russell, in the title role. Miss Russell's chic, her dashing characterization, and her beauty all unite to her rendering of the becoming role of The Grand Duchess such as few probably could furnish on our stage today. Messrs. Abbey, Schoeffel and Grau have given the stage the handsomest possible setting, and the costumes and appointments are unsurpassed. She is supported by such well-known artists as Mr. Hubert Wilke, Mr. Digby Bell, Mr. Hallen Mostyn, Mr. Sidney Howard, Mr. Owen Westford; Peasants, Soldiers, Vivandieres, Courtladies, Pages, Maids of Honor, Servants, by a corps of over fifty. Miss Russell has made a very pleasant feature of her encores by giving the repeated numbers in the original French of "La Grande Duchesse," and very daintily.
