offered in each class: First prize in any case, second prize when three boats start, third prize when five boats start. All boats either hired or owned by a member of either club may compete for these prizes.
Every yacht must be sailed by a member of either club and all beside regular crew must be members. Racing measurements will be by water line only. The races will be sailed under the rules of the N. Y. Y. C. Allowances will be made by Herreshoff's table. There will be no restrictions for sails on sloops. Cat-boats will carry one sail. Entries can be made at the office of the Pequot House until Tuesday evening.
The Harvard Yacht Club will start on a week's cruise on June 29. The first day's sail will be to Shelter Island; Saturday to Thimble Islands; Sunday to Black Rock; Monday to Oyster Bay; Tuesday to Larchmont. The distance to be covered each day has been made small so that boats of the smaller classes can cover it easily.
