Some time since the sign of the athletic manager, Mr. Herbert H. White, was taken from its place. It was supposed that this had been done by gamins, but the sign was accidentally discovered in the room of one of the students. Such an act as this is altogether out of bounds. Whatever opinion a man may have as to the propriety of taking signs which belong to outsiders, it seems to us that there can be but one opinion as to the propriety of taking any sign used by members of the University. The theft, in that case, plainly loses all point and no excuse for it can be advanced. The name of the student we withhold, but it is for him to recognize that he has done a low thing.
