The 'varsity crew has rowed for nearly a week without a single change, except that on Thursday Cameron rowed at No. 3 in the place of Lewis, who was sick.
Blake, who seemed early in the year to have a pretty good show for the boat, has, with Waters, who has rowed for several months, gone out of training. These two men being taken out of two very important places, together with the general shake-up which the crew got last week, has given the coach practically a new crew to work on.
The form of the crew as a whole is not very good and there are a good many individual faults. The time especially can be improved upon.
The date of the race has been changed to the afternoon of Thursday, June 28, instead of the 29th. The crew will leave for New London on June 9. The quarters, which are being repaired by the New London Board of Trade, will be as usual about four miles from the town and opposite the finish.
The order in which the men are now rowing, with weight, height and age of each is:
Weight. Height. Age.
Bow, Purdon '95, 152 5ft. 7 1-2in. 22
2, Bullard '96, 161 5ft. 8in. 22
