The public rehearsal of the play to be presented tonight by Delta Upsilon Fraternity, was held in Union Hall, Boston, on Saturday afternoon. The hall was crowded by an enthusiastic audience, and the performance was an undoubted success.
The play, which is a comedy in three acts, is well written, both incident and dialogue being often very clever. The part of John Brattle, private secretary to Pickletop, was well taken by Carleton Noyes '95, and Walter Van Kleeck in a rather difficult piece of character acting gave a creditable performance. One of the features of the comedy is a serenade by Bailey, White, Norton, and Van-Kleeck.
The play throughout has considerable local color, great enthusiasm being aroused by the appearance on the stage of "Billy" the Harvard postman.
