Hartwell, the former Yale oarsman, is coaching the Yale crew.

The Yale freshman nine was beaten Saturday by the Norwalk Y. M. C. A. nine.

A. B. Coxe, Yale '87, has presented the Yale athletic association with a handsome silver cup which is to be offered to the man who wins the most points in a series of sprints ranging from forty to one hundred and forty yards.

Williams has followed the example of Harvard in forming a civil service reform club. M. T. Hand '94 is president and W. S. Elder '95 secretary. Prominent men will be invited to address the club on the subject of civil service reform.
