The candidates for the 'varsity baseball team took their first out-of-door practice yesterday afternoon on Jarvis Field. Owing to the soft condition of the ground the work was confined entirely to batting.
The number fo men will be thinned out considerably in a few days to enable the more promising candidates to receive better attention.
