It is a great tribute to the importance of Harvard's chapel services that some of the most able, prominent and active ministers of the land are willing to lay aside their regular duties for a time and come, it may be hundreds of miles, to conduct them. It shows that they must consider the services to be of such a character as to have possibilities of great influence. It is all the more noticeable that ministers who are not graduates of any department of the University, who, indeed, have had no previous connection with the University, should be among those who give to us freely from out of their time and thought. Not long since, Bishop Vincent came from Buffalo to us, and this morning Dr. Gladden of Columbus will commence his term of service. The consideration shown by them is remarkable, and we can assure them, in behalf of very many students, that it is not unappreciated.
