Twenty-three men are left in the freshman baseball squad. At present, the team is in great need of a regular coach. Paine '94 takes charge of the coaching as often as he can be spared from the 'varsity, but when there is no one on the field in charge, the practice is apt to be listless and poor. The most promising men are Benson, c.; Gregory, p.; Warren, 1b.; Stevens, 2b.; Gray, Castle, ss.; Hewes, Martin, 3b.; Anderson, Horton, Nichols in the field. In addition to these there are eight men playing with the 'varsity. With constant coaching a good team ought to be developed but a great deal of hard work is needed on the part of the candidates to bring about a favorable result.

The men will remain in Cambridge through the April recess, and will play several practice games with preparatory schools. The first game is with Hopkinson on the sixth, the second with Roxbury Latin School on the eleventh, and third with Brookline High School. Provisional games have been arranged with Exeter, Andover, St. Marks, Amherst freshmen and Brown freshmen, for later in the season.
