First Winter Meeting.

The first winter meeting of the H. A. A. will begin at 2.30 this afternoon instead of at 2 o'clock as previously announced. The officers of the association wish to remind again the men who intend to take part that a failure on their part to deposit in the box of the athletic committee the certificates of permission to compete which they should have obtained from Dr. Sargent will probably result in their being placed on athletic probation.

The high jump promises to be one of the most interesting events on the program. The handicapping was done by J. F. Moakley, official handicapper for the New England division of the A. A. U. The allowances given the men are:

M. F. Sweeney, X. A. A., scratch; P. Stingel, E. Cambridge, 3 inches; C. J. Paine, H. A. A., 4 1-2 inches; E. H. Clark, H. A. A., 5 inches; A. Stickney, Jr., H. A. A., 5 inches; S. M. Merrill, H. A. A., 6 inches; W. D. Rising, Newton, 6 inches; J. L. Bremer, H. A. A., 6 inches; H. M. Wheelwright, H. A. A., 6 inches; W. E. Putnam, Jr., H. A. A., 5 1-2 inches; G. C. Chaney, H. A. A., 5 inches.
