The ninety-four crew has been working steadily since the recess on the machines, with an occasional trip to the tank. The men are all new with the exception of McDonald and Weed, who were substitutes last year.
The time and form, for so early in the season, are pretty fair. There is a general tendency throughout the boat to quicken the last part of the draw, and to go too far back.
The crew received a general shaking up yesterday and are now rowing in the following order:
Kellogg, 138 1-2, Stroke.
Atwood, 178, 7
Wilson, 180, 6
Crane, 164, 5
Carter, 160, 4
Weed, 164, 3
McDonald, 161, 2
Smith, 160, Bow.
Substitutes, Earle, Gardner and McGrath.
The individual faults of the men are as follows:
Stroke is slow on the recover and rushes his slide.
No 7 is stiff, but otherwise fairly good.
