The last performance of the French Play took place in Brattle Hall last evening. The hall was filled with a most enthusiastic and appreciative audience and the players fully deserved the continuous applause which was accorded them. They entered into the spirit of their parts with much more zest and vigor than in the first performance in Boston, and the play went much more smoothly and successfully. Chaves and Schurz carried off the honors of the evening and Knoblauch also played his part of Zerbinette most admirably. The dancing was excellent, the sailors making an especial hit with their hornpipe. Taken as a whole the play was the most successful one ever given by the Cercle Francais.
