All of the musical interests of the University centre in the concert to be given in Sanders Theatre tonight by the Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Clubs and the Pierian Sodality. We have been very glad to note the increasing interest shown by the clubs this fall, for we believe that college music has certain distinctive qualities that are not to be found elsewhere and that are worth being made the most of. It is an encouraging sign that so many pieces on the programme have been composed by Harvard men. It has been shown conclusively by the way in which such compositions have been received all over the country that in the field of light music to which Harvard men usually confine themselves, they have proved successful to a degree which fully warrants their encouragement.
The members of the musical clubs have worked hard for nearly three months in preparation for tonight, and we trust that they will be rewarded by a most successful concert.
