Harvard-Yale Freshman Game.

The eighteenth football game between Harvard and Yale freshmen will be played on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 2 o'clock. It is impossible to say what the result is likely to be, as nothing is known here as to the strength of the Yale team. Their score against the Columbia freshmen was 38 to 0, while Harvard's score against the same team was 33 to 0.

There is considerable interest in the game as a test of the systematic coaching which has been adopted this year for the first time in connection with the freshman eleven. The men are in good condition for the game and it is likely that all of them will be able to play through to the end.

The line-up will be:

HARVARD '98. YALE '98.

Pennsylvania vs. Yale.[N. E. Associated Press.]

PHILADELPHIA, PENN., NOV. 30. - A rumor was freely circulated here to the effect that the University of Pennsylvania football team had decided to send a challenge to Yale in order to settle all dispute as to the championship. When questioned upon the subject a director of the University of Pennsylvania Athletic Association said: "No action has yet been taken on the question of again challenging Yale and the matter has not been officially considered. I can say, however, that should Yale defeat. Princeton tomorrow, it is highly probable that a special meeting of the athletic association will be called to consider the advisability of sending a challenge. Then if Yale should again refuse to play us, I cannot see that our title to the championship could be disputed."

Police at Yale-Princeton Game.Superintendent Byrnes of the New York police force has given orders to Inspector Conlin to stop the Yale-Princeton game at the first sign of any brutal proceeding on the part of the players, and it is understood that these orders will be strictly carried out. All disturbances by students after the game will also be prevented by police interference.

The Princeton Team.[N. E. Associated Press.]

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 30. - The Princeton football team left here this afternoon for New York. The final line-up of the team was not decided until today. The team will face Yale tomorrow in the following order: l.e., Brown; l.t., Holly; l.g., Wheeler; c., Riggs; r.g., Rhodes; r.t., Taylor; l.e., Cochran; q.b., Ward; r.h.b., Rosengarten; l.h.b., Poe; f.b., Trenchard.

Owing to the crippled condition of the team, several of the substitutes are very likely to be called upon. Prominent among them are halfbacks Armstrong, Barnett and Reiter, any one of whom can fill the place of Poe or Rosengarten acceptably. Smith, Church, Summers Crowdis are ready to be called upon in case of injury to the regular forwards. Barnard will be put in as fullback in case of an injury to Cochran, who is in a crippled condition. This will make it necessary for Trenchard to go to the end. Trenchard will run with the ball and take a leading part in the defensive play, but Cochran will do the punting.
