The consolation tournament in the singles has been dragging along, owing to the fact that the players have been allowed to choose their own times for the matches. Moreover, the list of drawings was lost from the Carey Building, and the confusion caused by this has made the delay still greater. Only one match now remains before the finals. This will be played as early as the weather permits. In the finals Boyden '95 and Frothingham '96 will probably meet.
