Harvard Union. The Harvard Union has received a letter from the Princeton debating societies in regard to the joint debate. As Princeton is going to debate with Yale at New Haven and Yale is to debate with Harvard at Cambridge, Princeton wishes the debate to be held at Princeton. They also propose a compromise in regard to the form of the debate; that there should be three twelve minute speeches followed by either two six minute rebuttals on each side or by one twelve minute rebuttal to be used as each side sees fit. The Union has written accepting Princeton's proposals. The question will be decided upon in a few days, and a date set for the competitive debate to choose Harvard's representatives. This debate will be open to all members of the University. The joint debate will be held in February.

There will be only one debate with Yale this year.

At the business meeting last night it was voted to accept the invitation of the Wendell Phillips Club for a joint debate. The proposed date, Nov. 30, will have to be changed on account of other debates which the Union has on hand.
