Already complaints have begun to be made against the corps of coaches who have superintended the work of the football eleven this year. It is claimed that proper effort has not been made to bring to Cambridge all the old football men who might be of service. We are authorized to state that no stone has been left unturned to induce such men as Cumnock, Holden and Perry Trafford to join the coaching force, but that they have all refused on the ground of press of business. Dr. Brooks and the other graduate advisers have been so earnest in their devotion to the team that we feel it is but right that the undergraduate body understand that there has not been any attempt to "freeze out" any Harvard football men from connection with the eleven.
