The cold weather of the past week has not prevented work on the river, though it made it somewhat uncomfortable. Yesterday the regular 'varsity crew was out on the river. It was made up as follows: R. H. Stevenson, stroke: No. 7, Sprague; No. 6, T. G. Stevenson; No. 5, Duffield; No. 4, Townsend; No. 3, Lewis; No. 2, Bullard; bow, Forbes.
Mr. Watson coached from the launch as usual.
Captain Fennessy had charge of the remaining 'varsity squads in the Gymnasium and also of the freshmen candidates. The material among the latter is unusually heavy and muscular for a freshman crew. The quality is good to start with, so that it is possible to predict well for them.
