Ninety-Five, 12; Ninety-Six; 0.The second of the class series of football games was played between the seniors and juniors yesterday afternoon and resulted in a victory for the former by a score of 12 to 0. The grounds were a mass of mud and water, making them wholly unfit for good playing. It was so slippery that there was little chance for successful interference and it was consequently a kicking game, in which Jackson out-punted Motley, although the latter made some good kicks. Ninety-five had Doucette, Teele and Jackson, while ninety-six was joined by Warren and Steadman from the 'varsity squad. The nearest the juniors came to scoring was when they reached the senior's twenty yard line. There was considerable fumbling and the playing of both teams was loose, though ninety-five held together well at times.

Ninety-six started the game with a kick-off and regained the ball on four downs. The seniors got the ball on a fumble and by repeated rushes, directed mostly against the centre, Miller finally went through Duff and Merriman for the first touchdown, from which Pierce kicked the goal. In the second half there were several punts and considerable fumbling. Most of the gains were made between guard and tackle, and the light weight of the ninety-six team began to tell on the men. Very few end runs were attempted and most of the plays were confined to rushes against the opposing centre. Hitch scored the second touchdown, rushing between Warren and Dibblee. Pierce again kicked the goal.

Davis played well at left end, making a long run after a pretty catch. Hitch and Miller did the best playing for ninety-five and the whole centre held up strong. For ninety-six, Duff and Ingalls played their positions fairly well and Merriman made a pretty tackle, stopping Jackson in a clear field.

Ninety-five will play Saturday for the championship of the college against the winner in the game between the sophomores and freshmen.

NEW HAVEN, CONN., Oct. 31. - The football game between Yale and the Volunteers of New York today resulted in a victory for Yale by the large score of 42 to 0. Yale started in with a rush and made 32 points right away, but in the second half the Yale backs were instructed to "experiment," and the only scoring done was by Letton, who raised two goals from the field, duplicating the feat of Thorne, who had kicked two goals from the field in the first half.
